Millefolium is a homeopathic remedy derived from yarrow (Achillea millefolium), a perennial plant 25 to 45 cm tall with white, pink, or purple flowers. The whole plant is used during flowering for the design of the homeopathic remedy. Thanks to its many active ingredients, Millefolium is generally used to fight haemorrhage, but its field of action is much wider and also affects the ENT sphere, stomatology and gynaecology.
Indications of Millefolium in stomatology
In the field of dentistry, Millefolium effectively fights toothache and is also used in cases of gum ulceration. It is also effective in treating swelling of the tongue. Its field of action extends to ailments affecting the mouth manifested by a feeling of dryness and strong thirst.
Indications of Millefolium in gynecology
In gynecology, Millefolium is used to combat white discharge. It is also an antispasmodic that relieves painful periods. It is also ideal for treating certain menstrual disorders including early, massive and prolonged menstruation. It avoids gynecological conditions that sometimes lead to abortion. Its effectiveness is proven on patients who have a fibroid problem. Finally, it helps stop excessive bleeding after childbirth.
In men, Millefolium acts effectively on swollen penises and testicles. It fights the absence of sperm during orgasm and stops the involuntary flow of semen, spermatorrhea. It eliminates tumors on the genitals, i.e. condylomas. Millefolium is also recommended for the treatment of gonorrhea.

Millefolium is also involved in the ENT field. Thus, it not only treats pathologies affecting the ear, nose and throat, but also those affecting the neck and head. Millefolium is known to be effective in treating bleeding in general and is ideal for stopping nosebleeds. It also helps in the decongestion of the blocked nose. It acts on people prone to the sensation of blocked ears accompanied by noises or the sensation of air escaping from the ear. Millefolium is a medicine that heals ulcers and pain in the throat. As far as the head is concerned, it is used in the treatment of violent pain accompanied by a feeling that blood is rising to the head followed by a beating of the arteries.
For
the many cases of ENT, stomatological and gynecological disorders, Millefolium can be used as an infusion, mother tincture, liquid extract, juice and also granules. In the specific case of mother tincture, 5 ml of this remedy should be diluted in a little cold or warm water or fruit juice, to be taken three times a day between meals.
In cases of trauma, 5 granules of Millefolium alternated with other homeopathic remedies such as Arnica 5 CH, should be taken every 10 minutes for a maximum of one hour.
In case of pelvic cramps in women, Millefolium can be used to prepare a sitz bath to effectively relieve pain related to painful periods. For nosebleeds, use Millefolium 5 CH.
