Menometrorrhagia is an abnormal heavy bleeding from the uterus after menstruation. Bleeding is often due to a hormonal imbalance that can be treated with hormone-based treatment. Menometrorrhagia can also result from the presence of a tumor in the uterus. Women between the ages of 20 and 45 are the most affected by this pathology, in other words those who are still of childbearing age. Menometrorrhagia can nevertheless occur in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.
Symptoms of menometrorrhagia
Menometrorrhagia causes prolonged bleeding after menstruation in the most common cases. Not only does the bleeding last for a while, but it is more like a hemorrhage from the uterus. Other symptoms such as bleeding during menopause or postmenopause may also occur, although the patient does not use hormone replacement therapy. Menorrhagia can also be a precursor sign of menometrorrhagia, but it is necessary to refer to the doctor's diagnosis.
The dosage of homeopathic remedies
Ipeca is recommended in most gynecological disorders including menometrorrhagia. It will then be administered in a dilution of 9CH at a rate of 5 granules to be taken 4 times a day as an adjunct treatment. Ipeca thins blood clots and reduces the nausea that accompanies the condition. This remedy is also recommended as a preventive treatment. In this specific case, the patient must take 5 granules of Ipeca 7CH or 15CH per day before the period arrives over three consecutive menstrual cycles.
Ustilago 4CH to 9CH is also prescribed in the event of a gynecological problem causing more or less significant bleeding. If menometrorrhagia is associated with hot flashes, it is advisable to take 3 granules of Ustilago 5CH once a day.
If the main symptoms of menometrorrhagia occur with heavy periods, especially in the evening, the patient should treat herself with Bovista Gigantea 4CH at a rate of 3 granules to be taken 3 times a day. Treatment should then be stopped as soon as the bleeding stops. In the event that the pathology is accompanied by diarrhoea, it is preferable to follow a treatment based on Bovista Gigantea 9CH 4 times a day, at a rate of 5 granules per dose.
When to see a doctor?
Small blood spots may be observed at the beginning of menstruation, especially if the person is taking birth control pills. The same is true for women who are in the menopausal or postmenopausal phase, especially on the 10th and 12th day of each hormonal cycle. However, bleeding without hormone replacement should be the subject of an emergency medical consultation. If the patient is in the period of puberty and has vaginal bleeding, it is also recommended that she consult a doctor as soon as possible.
