Herpes is a viral condition caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (Hsv) that affects the skin and mucous membranes. Its treatment with appropriate homeopathic remedies sometimes gives much more conclusive results than the usual antiviral-based treatments.
Herpes
Herpes is a disease caused by a virus called Herpes Simplex Virus (Hsv). This virus can present itself in two distinct forms. The first is Hsv1, which mainly affects the face, while the second form of the virus is Hsv2, which is responsible for anogenital lesions. The triggers of the disease can be fatigue, menstruation, stress or excessive exposure to the sun. The herpes virus is often the main culprit in genital ulcers.
However, it is important to distinguish between herpes circinata, which is also called glabrous skin fungus or Saint Catherine's wheel. This form of the disease is caused by fungi and not by the two types of viruses mentioned above. In this case, the infection presents as a slightly healed redness in the center, but which tends to become scaly or vesicular in the periphery. The lesion is usually not very pruritic. To prevent the spread of herpes, a hygiene precaution is imperative. Since this disease is highly contagious, touching or scratching the affected parts should be avoided.
Symptoms of herpes
Herpes manifests itselfas recurrent skin rashes. It can affect different parts of the body, but its location in the genitals is the most annoying. In addition, herpes is accompanied by swelling, a burning sensation and an itching that is sometimes unbearable due to the blisters full of water that form. A specialist will be able to confirm the diagnosis by taking samples from the vesicles or ulcerations. After a while, the blisters rupture, which eventually causes the formation of a scab that progresses to healing.
To
combat herpes, a basic treatment is always indicated. Several types of homeopathic remedies can be used. Vaccinotoxinum 9 CH, at a dose of 1 dose at the onset of the first symptoms, is indicated for all forms of herpes. To complete this treatment, it is advisable to take Rhus toxicodendron 15 CH, at a rate of 5 granules every 2 hours as well as Staphysagria 9 CH, at a rate of 5 granules 4 times a day.
Homeopathic treatment of genital herpes
To treat genital herpes, the use of Vaccinotoxinum 9 CH with remedies such as Borax 9 CH or Rhus toxicodendron 15 CH should be combined with 5 granules every 2 hours. In case of severe pruritus, it is better to take Croton triglium 9 CH, taking care to respect the same dosage. In case of sciatica accompanying the symptoms, it is possible to take 5 granules of Hypericum perforatum 9 CH every two hours. Finally, if the attack occurs as a result of an annoyance, it is advisable to take 5 granules of Staphysagria 9 CH four times a day.
Other remedies
Other homeopathic remedies may be offered depending on the nature and manifestation of herpes. Thus, Psorinum is used to fight against herpes which tends to reappear every winter. Anagallis arvensis is also used to treat the eruption of cluster vesicles, while Dulcamara, Kreosotum and Petroleum are used for vulvar conditions. Facial and oral herpes, which is more common in children, is also treated with silicea for the lips, Natrum muriaticum 9 H for the lips and anus, and Sulphur iodatum for the lips and chin.
Local treatment can be done with creams and liquid antiseptics, such as grapefruit seed extract. Circinated herpes is treated locally with antifungal creams, to be applied once or twice a day, taking care to spread enough outside the limits of the lesion. It should be noted that homeopathic treatments generally complement the action of the usual essential oils and other antiviral creams.
The usual non-homeopathic treatment is based on Valaciclovir, a molecule present in zelitrex.
When to see a doctor?
At a certain level of the pathology, especially when the skin lesions are recurrent and occur several times in a year, it is recommended to consult a doctor. Similarly, a pregnant woman who sees a herpes outbreak appear on her body must absolutely inform her doctor so as not to transmit the virus to the baby. In addition, if the lesion caused by herpes is likely to bother, you should never hesitate to seek the advice of a specialist. People with genital herpes are particularly exposed to sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to screen for STIs at the first signs of herpes so that the doctor can prescribe the appropriate treatment.
