Indeed, by containing steroidal and sterol saponosides, this plant has the property of soothing various pains.
Dioscorea villosa muscle pain is indicated for relieving pain that is soothed by extension, for example, lower back pain. This remedy also calms the pain due to possible infections such as panaris, an infection characterized by inflammation accompanied by severe pain.

In gynaecology, to relieve painful periods, 1 granule, twice a day of Dioscorea villosa 5 CH is sufficient. During childbirth, when the pain is unbearable, 5 granules of Dioscorea villosa 9 CH are taken, to be renewed if necessary.
