Treating stomatitis with homeopathy

Stomatitis seems at first glance to be a harmless pathology, but if it incubates a more serious disease, homeopathy can be used to cure it.

Stomatitis is a pathology that is characterized by the appearance of small ulcerations inside the mouth, gums, on the palate and also appears on the inside of the lips and cheeks but also on the tongue. When the stomatitis is periodic, it is aphthous stomatitis. Candidosis-type stomatitis is caused by a fungus that usually affects infants. If it is vesicular, it was caused by a virus such as herpes stomatitis. In the case of erythematous stomatitis, the inflammation appears more often on the gums and is usually due to infected and decayed teeth.

Symptoms

The warning signs of each type of stomatitis are different for each individual. Sometimes, ulcerations are barely 2 mm in diameter or 1 cm at most with an agglomeration of 1 to 5 canker sores that heal after about ten days. Canker sores larger than one centimeter in diameter take 15 days to heal, while for a case of stomatitis with more than 5 to 100 ulcers, healing takes up to two months for the ulcerated area. In addition, the canker sores symptomatic of stomatitis are to be distinguished from ulcers that appear in the eyes and genitals.

Homeopathic treatments

Canker sores that indicate stomatitis can be treated with Mercurius Solubilis 5 CH combined with Borax 5 CH at a rate of three doses of 3 granules per day. For a long-term treatment, you can opt for the homeopathic remedy Borax 9 CH at a rate of 5 granules every two hours.

Mercurius Solubilis is mainly indicated for the treatment of canker sores, which give off bad breath and cause a lot of salivation. Sometimes the oral mucous membranes can be burning and painful with bleeding gums.

Borax is recommended for children in the process of teething and with canker sores. In this case, the remedy should be diluted to 5 CH or 30 K with four to six doses per day at the rate of 3 granules for each dose.

If the patient has canker sores but which are relieved by drinking a hot drink, the homeopathic remedy indicated is Arsenicum Album 5 CH in four to six doses per day at the rate of 3 granules for each dose. If the ulcerations are itchy and deep and irregular, it is recommended to take 3 granules of Nitricum Acidum 5 CH, six times a day. The remedy Sulfuricum Acidum is recommended if the canker sore secretes a yellow substance. The dose will be 3 granules to be taken four to six times a day for a dilution of 5 CH.

When to see a doctor?

In addition to canker sores, stomatitis can also present as a tingling or burning sensation before the appearance of canker sores. If the starting point of the ulcers is white or extremely painful, especially at mealtimes, it is stomatitis. In this case, it is best to see a doctor as soon as possible. Moreover, self-medication is only recommended if the subject is healthy and has no other symptoms.
