Pollens is a homeopathic medicine made from pollen, the male fertilizing element of flowers. In powder form that is virtually invisible to the naked eye, pollen is present in the atmosphere during the flower pollination period and is the cause of certain types of allergies. But, thanks to the dilutions used in homeopathy, Pollens can be used to treat these allergic syndromes.
ENT indications
Pollen is mainly indicated for the treatment of individuals suffering from a pollen allergy. This type of pathology, better known as hay fever, most often leads to rhinitis, which can manifest itself as a burning or unhot nasal discharge, obstruction of the nostrils, itchy nose and frequent sneezing.
Indications in ophthalmology and pulmonology
In some people, allergic rhinitis can cause conjunctivitis. In this case, Pollens is recommended as it significantly reduces the symptoms that accompany this disease such as lacrimation, edema, pain caused by the sight of light and the appearance of pruritus. In addition, Pollens effectively treats patients who suffer from perennial allergic conjunctivitis. This type of pathology is similar to allergic rhinitis, with the only difference being that the resulting conjunctivitis lasts throughout the year. In pulmonology, Pollens is used to treat allergic syndrome that occurs in the respiratory mucosa, also known as allergic asthma.
Recommended dosage in ENT
To treat allergic rhinitis, Pollens 15 CH is often combined with Apis Mellifica 9 CH and Lung Histamine 15 CH. These three drugs should be taken in the morning and evening, at a rate of 5 granules of each. And, depending on the symptoms, other homeopathic medicines can be added to this basic treatment. For example, when the discharge from the nose is clear, abundant and burning and sneezing is frequent and accompanied by a tingling in the eyes as well as a non-irritating tear, Allium Cepa 9 CH should be added. In the event that the cold is acute and manifests itself as a burning but not abundant nasal discharge, the basic treatment will be accompanied by Arsenicum Album 9 CH.
Recommended dosage in ophthalmology and pulmonology
To treat allergic conjunctivitis, the patient must take Pollens 15 CH daily. Depending on the case, other remedies such as Allium Cepa 5 CH, Apis Mellifica 5 to 9 CH, Arsenicum Album 5 CH, Euphrasia 5 CH or Kalium Iodatum 5 CH can be added to the treatment. People prone to asthma can take a preventive course of Pollens 30 CH for 2 to 3 months before each pollination period.
