Asterias Rubens is a homeopathic remedy of animal origin prepared from the common starfish. This marine invertebrate is also known as starfish, hence the name of the remedy. The whole animal is used to make the medicine.

Asterias Rubens is mainly indicated in the treatment of female disorders that manifest themselves before and during menopause. Thus, it helps reduce hot flashes that are accompanied by breast tension. For the latter symptom, the remedy is most effective when the chest is hard and swollen and the sensation is on the left side with radiation to the arm and back.

Asterias Rubens can be used to effectively treat certain heart disorders. In particular, it is recommended for patients who suffer from violent palpitations and powerful beats and who sometimes have the sensation that their heart stops. In addition, the individual may also complain of severe pain in the precordial muscles located in front of the heart.
Recommended dosage in gynaecology
In case of hot flashes accompanied by breast tension, it is advisable to take Asterias Rubens 5 CH, at a rate of 5 granules per dose as soon as the first symptoms appear. If hot flashes are more frequent and more intense, the patient should resort to Asterias Rubens 15 CH which he will consume each time hot flashes occur. If the breast tension, pain and swelling are mainly located on the left chest and radiate to the back, it would be more appropriate to opt for Asterias Rubens 9 CH at a rate of 5 granules per dose.
Recommended dosage in cardiology
To remedy palpitations, systematically take 5 granules of Asterias Rubens 5 CH each time symptoms appear. For a disease-modifying treatment aimed at restoring the heart rhythm, the recommended dosage is 5 granules of Asterias Rubens 9 CH, to be taken twice a day: one taken in the morning when you wake up and another in the evening before going to bed.
