Echinacea Angustifolia is a homeopathic remedy obtained from the plant of the same name, belonging to the Echinacea family, which grows mainly in North America. This plant, already used by the American Indians to treat various ailments, is easily recognized by its low height, of the order of 40 to 70cm.
In addition, it has yellow, pink or white flowers whose center is covered with prickly tips. In homeopathy, it is especially recommended for the treatment of infectious pathologies, especially those due to bacteria or viruses. Nevertheless, this remedy also strengthens the body's immune defenses and can therefore be taken as a preventive measure.
Infectiology
Echinacea Angustifolia is mainly prescribed to people who are fragile and susceptible to viral infections, as well as to those with sepsis. In the latter case, the immunostimulant properties of this remedy help to combat the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria in the blood. Echinacea Angustifolia is also used to treat erysipelas, skin infections due to insect bites, viruses, bacteria, or other types of microbes. Finally, a course of Echinacea Angustifolia stimulates the body's natural defenses to allow it to cope with a harsh season, an intellectual ordeal or simply fatigue.
Dosage recommended in infectiology
Echinacea Angustifolia should be administered at a rate of 900 mg to 1g per day in the form of a mother tincture or hydro-alcoholic extract. To do this, the recommended dosage is 2 daily doses (one in the morning and another in the evening) of 25 drops of mother tincture for 3 weeks. Then, the individual must take 2 doses of this remedy daily for one week to 10 days per month until healing. It should be noted that mother tincture is forbidden in children because of its alcohol content. For this reason, it will be substituted for Echinacea Angustifolia D1 or D3. Thus, to strengthen a child's immune defense, the recommended dosage is 25 drops, to be taken morning and evening.
