Cuprum Arsenicosum is a homeopathic remedy prepared from copper arsenic, which is a chemical compound that comes in the form of a green-gray colored powder. Although it is less well known than its cousin Cuprum Metallicum, it is also a drug that has significant therapeutic virtues. It is particularly recommended for pregnant women to relieve them of certain discomforts that can occur during pregnancy.
Indications in obstetrics
For most women, pregnancy is a period during which many muscular, breast and lumbar headaches appear, as well as many gastric or uterine disorders. These include nausea and vomiting, mood disorders or uterine pain. Homeopathy offers a range of remedies for each of these disorders that have become common in pregnant women. Cuprum Arsenicosum is a homeopathic remedy that is often prescribed for muscle pain and cramps, especially during pregnancy. The remedy is especially recommended to relieve contractions that occur during the night. In some patients, these contractions even lead to lameness, since the legs and calves are the most affected parts. Cuprum Arsenicosum also helps to remedy the blood circulation problem that is often responsible for the appearance of cramps.
Recommended dosages To
relieve muscle cramps, Curpum Arsenicosum 5 CH is recommended, at a rate of 5 granules morning, noon and evening. During moments of crisis, i.e. when the pain is particularly unbearable, take the same dose of Cuprum Arsenicosum 5 CH every 10 minutes for one hour. The granules should be allowed to melt on the tongue. The granules can also be taken before bedtime to prevent night cramps. Otherwise, for a long-term treatment, it is advisable to take Cuprum Arsenicosum 15 CH granules. The recommended dose is 5 granules in the morning and 5 granules in the evening. If symptoms persist, it is advisable to consult a gynaecologist or obstetrician who will readjust the treatment.
