Chimaphila Umbellata is a homeopathic remedy obtained from umbel pyrole, also known as "pissing grass". This plant proliferates mainly in North America and is easily recognizable thanks to its small size, around 20 to 40cm in height. Once prepared, Chimaphila Umbellata becomes a very effective homeopathic remedy for the treatment of urinary disorders. However, the range of effectiveness of this remedy extends to the upper parts of the bladder. To obtain Chimaphila Umbellata syrup, the leaves of the plant are crushed and then macerated for 36 hours in 8 ounces of water. Once a pint of the product is obtained, it should be allowed to evaporate to half its volume and then add about 250g of sugar.
Composition of Chimaphila Umbellata
Chimaphila Umbellata is a homeopathic remedy of the Aluminium group. The active ingredient of this plant is tannin, an invigorating and amorphous substance. In addition, Chimaphila Umbellata is also composed of flavonoids, a plant extract widely used in homeopathy for its properties to improve blood circulation and its role as an anti-inflammatory. Finally, this drug also owes its healing capacity to the ursolic acid it contains.
The indications of Chimaphila Umbellata in urology
The name "pee grass" comes from the fact that Chimaphila Umbellata has exceptional virtues in the treatment of urinary system disorders. These problems can manifest themselves as difficulty urinating, or the presence of mucus and pus in the urine. However, this medication is also indicated in case of a feeling of heaviness in the prostate, which usually signals swelling of the organ. In women, it is prescribed in case of inflammation of the lips of the vulva or in case of vaginal pain. Finally, Chimaphila Umbellata is indicated for the treatment of catarrh of the bladder. This pathology results in an abnormal secretion through the walls of the bladder lining.
The dosage of Chimaphila Umbellata
Chimaphila Umbellata can be used in different ways, including granules, infusions, decoctions or syrups.
