Categories of emphysema
Pulmonary emphysema includes 4 types of condition. Centrolobicular or centroacinar emphysema: it affects only the upper half of the lungs and can lead to panlobular emphysema. Panlobular emphysema destroys the lower half of the lungs. Bullous emphysema is characterized by the presence of bubbles in the lungs, while paralesional emphysema is caused by a scar from an old lung disease.
Although
the first symptoms of pulmonary emphysema are mild, it manifests itself in the long run as shortness of breath after exertion and at rest, coughing, decreased respiratory rate, great fatigue and a feeling of tightness are felt in the chest. On a daily basis, the patient is subject to sleep disorders, weight loss and also cyanosis of the lips and skin. Heart and lung complications are also noted at an advanced stage of the disease.
Homeopathic remedies
Antimonium Tartaricum 5 CH is effective in treating acute bronchitis with congestion. Administer 5 granules every 10 to 15 min at baseline and then the same dose every hour for 24 hours. Asthma attacks and bronchiolitis can be cured by alternating doses of Antimonium Tartaricum, Blatta orientalis and Ipeca to be administered every 10 minutes. For coughing fits and laryngitis, administer a dose of 5 Carbo vegetalis 7 CH granules to be taken for one week morning and evening. Carbo vegetalis 15 CH is used against brochospasms and choking coughs. Senega 5 CH or 7 CH is to be taken in case of inflammation of the bronchi.
