Alleviating precordial pain with homeopathy

A source of more or less intense pain, precordial pain can have several causes. But whatever the type of pain (burning, vice, etc.), homeopathy has several remedies that can get rid of it.

The term precordial pain includes all pain in the left anterolateral part of the chest, in front of the heart, without the heart being implicated. Unlike the pain caused by angina pectoris, the pain of precordialgia is not relieved by taking trinitrine.

Recognizing precordial pain

These pains, whatever their origin, have the same characteristics: they are not very intense, are not influenced by respiratory movements or effort, and extend to the jaw, neck, left arm and even radiate to the back.

Unlike pain caused by a heart problem, which usually involves a more or less important part of the chest, the pain of precordialgia is so well localized that the patient can locate it with the help of the finger. Precordial pain presents as chest tightness, cramping, or burning. The diagnosis of precordial pain is more difficult in people who have or have already had real heart pathologies, such as myocardial infarction and angina. The doctor is then the only one authorized to determine whether it is precordial pain or pain of cardiac origin.

Causes of Precordial Pain

The causes of precordial gia are diverse and varied. Pain can appear as a result of muscle damage, especially that of the intercostal muscles. Skin lesions, in the case of shingles for example, can cause precordia. We can also mention bone pathologies, especially those that affect the sternum and ribs. Precordialgia may be the result of pleural or mediastinal involvement. Finally, stress can also cause precordia.

Treating precordial pain with homeopathy

Homeopathy has a range of remedies to relieve precordial pain. For your information, whatever the pathology to be treated with homeopathy, there are a few rules to observe: always take the medication outside of meals so that it retains all its effectiveness, avoid as much as possible any contact of the medication with the skin at the time of intake, scrupulously respect the indicated dosages as well as the days and dates of intake. The remedies are mentioned as an indication because in homeopathy, each treatment is strictly individual. If the cause of precordialgia is known, it is important to treat it at the same time as the pain.

To calm the pain, you can use Tabacum 9 to 15 CH, Abies Nigra 4 to 5 CH or Colocynthis 5 to 7 CH, to be taken at the time of attacks. For burning-like pain that migrates to the mouth and back, a dose of Robinia 5 CH may be sufficient, to be taken a few minutes after the evening meal. If the pain occurs after a meal, Nux Vomica 5 CH is ideal. A single dose is normally sufficient, but if the pain persists, a new dose is permitted. Arnica is indicated for pain due to overexertion or stress. Take 5 Arnica granules 4 to 5 CH before going to bed.

When to see a doctor

If the patient is sure that the pain they are experiencing is not of cardiac origin, they can use a homeopathic remedy. If the treatment does not alleviate the pain or if it intensifies, do not hesitate to consult a doctor. If in doubt about the origin of the pain, you should refrain from taking any medication and immediately consult a doctor who is the only one authorized to give the exact diagnosis.
