Treating leukorrhea with homeopathy

Leucorrhea is a gynecological disorder that affects women of all ages, even little girls. The use of homeopathy is an effective alternative to care.

Leucorrhea is a gynecological condition that affects most women. It is benign when it is of physiological origin. Indeed, leucorrhea can be observed during the woman's ovulation period, i.e. around the 15th day of the cycle in general. It should also not be a cause for concern when it results from vaginal desquamation.

Presentation of the pathology

Leucorrhea can be classified into two categories: pathological leucorrhea and physiological leucorrhea. Pathological leucorrhea, of infectious origin, is a gynecological condition that must be treated to avoid complications. This category of leucorrhea can have several origins such as vulvovaginitis, which is caused by fungus or bacteria such as staphylococcus. Salpingitis, which is caused by sexually transmitted diseases such as gonococcus, can also cause pathological leukorrhea.

Physiological leucorrhea is normal and manifests itself around the middle of the menstrual cycle. Indeed, the ovulation period is marked by vaginal hypersecretion. It can also have other causes such as pregnancy, menopause or genital acidity. Normal leucorrhea is odorless and is not accompanied by pruritus or irritation. However, due to hormonal changes, postmenopausal women can develop atrophic vulvovaginitis. In pregnant women, leucorrhea can be of fungal origin.

Symptoms of pathological leucorrhea

Pathological leucorrhea is caused by germs. The typical symptom that characterizes it is the sudden appearance of discharge accompanied by functional disorders. The vagina, cervix or uterine body are infected and develop secretions. The vulva is itchy and the woman may also feel vaginal burning.

The leucorrhea caused by Trichomonas vaginalis is abundant, greenish and foul-smelling, and the vulva has a reddish color. The infection caused by a gonococcal is manifested by the presence of a greenish-yellow pus. Chlamydia infection is characterized by purulent leucorrhea with metrorrhagia. In postmenopausal women, leucorrhea is purulent and the vagina has significant inflammation.

Other secondary symptoms may occur, such as the frequent urge to urinate with a burning sensation at the end of the urine evacuation. These disorders are accompanied by low-grade fever, especially in infections due to sexually transmitted diseases. Infections can spread upwards into the genital tract with the presence of pain in the small pelvis.

Treatments for pathological leucorrhea

Homeopathic treatment is often prescribed depending on the staining of the leucorrhea. If it looks like water, Luesinum 9 CH is indicated. If it appears as egg white, Borax 5 CH is recommended. Pulsatilla 5 CH should be taken if it is cream or yellow in color. In case the discharge is yellow and viscous or yellow and manifests itself chronically, the recommended homeopathic remedies are Aletris farinosa 5 CH and Luesinum 5 CH respectively. If they are greenish in colour, Mercurius solubilis 5 CH is recommended, but if they are brown or blood-tinged, Nitricum acidum 7 CH should be taken.

The homeopathic remedy is also administered depending on the degree of irritation caused by the leucorrhoea and its colour. In case of irritant and acidic discharge, Sepia 5 CH should be taken. In the case of a very itchy, yellow and burning secretion, Kreosotum 5 CH is usually indicated by the homeopath. If it is irritating, thick and yellow, Hydrastis 4 CH is very effective. If the discharge is not irritating but yellow in color, Pulsatilla 7 CH is indicated.

For a local attack treatment, use a Hydrastis calendula egg at bedtime and coat the irritated area with a Homeoplasmin ointment. As for chronic infections with a repeated urinary tract infection, the field treatment consists of using Thuja: 5 granules of Thuja 7 CH per day or a weekly dose of Thuja 15 CH.

When to see a doctor?

You should go to a medical consultation when you are in the presence of signs of infection such as pain in the lower abdomen, burning and itching. The presence of foul odours or loss of abnormal colour are all warning signs that warrant a medical consultation.
