Relieve burns with homeopathy

A burn is an injury caused by skin contact with a heat source: sunlight, chemicals, flames, etc. Homeopathy helps relieve the pain caused by the injury.

Skin lesion due to high heat, the burn is categorized in 3 degrees. The first degree is the most superficial burn that causes simple skin irritation. At this level, only the epidermis is affected, while in the second degree, a deeper area of the skin is affected. The burn is still referred to as superficial if the epidermis and part of the dermis are slightly affected, but if these two elements are completely destroyed, the injury is more serious. We speak of a third-degree burn, when the hypodermis is also destroyed. It is then noted that the skin is charred.

Symptoms of burns

Depending on the source that causes the burn and also the time of exposure to this source, the symptoms of the injury will be different. The very first manifestation of the burn reveals a pinkish color of the skin with little pain but on the other hand with hypersensitivity of the affected area. The most common type is sunburn. Still in the first degree, the lesion becomes more important when the skin takes on a red color and with a more pronounced level of pain. Wearing clothing becomes unbearable if the clothing touches the affected part.

A second-degree burn causes the appearance of blisters called phlyctenes. The totally damaged epidermis can, however, heal relatively quickly. However, because the dermis is exposed, there is a risk of infection. This is why it is necessary to use suitable dressings. If the burned area is large enough (equal to the size of his hand if it is a child), there is also a high probability of dehydration. Finally, the injured person may find himself in a state of shock. All these symptoms can be treated by homeopathy.

Treatment of burns with homeopathy

Superficial lesions can be treated with Apis Mellifica and Belladonna. Apis Mellifica is taken in 9 or 15 CH with one dose or in slices of 5 granules every 10 to 15 minutes. As the pain subsides, the intakes will be spaced out. A dose of Belladonna in 9 or 15 CH will be recommended at the same time, or 5 9CH granules to be taken every hour. The doses will also be spaced out according to the pain, with the treatment not exceeding 24 hours. It will be necessary to finalize the treatment with Apis Mellifica 5 CH and Belladonna 4 CH with 5 granules morning, noon and evening. Apis Mellifica is more suitable for light lesions with pink skin, while Belladonna is more suitable for skin reddened by burning.

For the second degree of burn, Cantharis Vesicatoria 15 CH should be used at a rate of 5 granules, with 2 hours spacing between subsequent doses. As with superficial injuries, the holds will be spaced further apart as the pain decreases.

For both the first and second degrees, it is essential to soak the affected part in cold water for about fifteen minutes before applying Calendula-based ointment which will accelerate healing. Washing with clean water is all the more important for skin burned by a chemical. Dressings soaked in Hypericum or Urtica Urens lotion also relieve the skin.

Treatment of burn trauma

A concussion following a burn should never be neglected because it can seriously accentuate the burning sensation, but also leave psychological after-effects. To do this, the burn victim will need to be given a dose of Aconite 7 CH if he or she is in a state of shock.

When to see a doctor?

Any burn from the second degree and particularly extensive requires a medical consultation. In children, the critical burned area is 10% of the body surface area and in adults, it is 15%. In addition, any lesion with fluid loss (beginning of dehydration) also requires follow-up by a doctor. Finally, if the lesion takes too long to heal despite the fact that it has already been treated, it will have to be examined by a specialist.
