Cambogia is a homeopathic remedy based on Garcinia cambogia. Also known as guttier or Malabar tamarind, this shrubby plant is native to southern Asia. It grows mainly in India but is also found in Australia, tropical Africa and Polynesia. It is its yellowish fruits, quite similar to small pumpkins, as well as its bark that are used to make the homeopathic remedy that bears its name. They are mainly used in herbal medicine as laxatives, purgatives and slimming. However, Cambogia is not only used in gastroenterology. It can also be used to treat some eye conditions.
Gastroenterology
Cambogia is a very effective homeopathic remedy for intestinal problems. It is particularly recommended in case of inflammation of the colon or colitis, especially when the pathology is accompanied by diarrhoea and/or flatulence. It is also indicated in case of borborygma or gurgling in the intestines. Cambogia even treats other colon diseases that lead to persistent constipation. It also accelerates intestinal transit and does not present any adverse effects.
Ophthalmology
In ophthalmology, Cambogia is mainly recommended in cases of infantile conjunctivitis characterized by inflammation of the ocular membrane, hypersensitivity of the eye to light and wind as well as severe itching in the eyes. For the treatment of other ophthalmological disorders, it is most often combined with other homeopathic remedies such as Euphrasia and Apis.
Recommended dosage in gastroenterology
To treat digestive disorders, and in particular inflammation of the colon, use Cambogia 5 CH or 9 CH. As for the dosage of the remedy, it will depend on the symptoms and severity of the disease and can therefore only be prescribed by a homeopath.
Recommended dosages in ophthalmology
In case of infantile conjunctivitis, calm the itching with 3 granules of Cambogia 5 CH, to be taken in the morning, at noon and in the evening. To make the medication more effective, regularly clean the child's eyes with a physiological serum.
