Arum Triphyllum is a homeopathic strain derived from a plant called Indian turnip, a three-leaved goat in the Araceae family. The plant is mainly located in the United States of America. The essential active ingredients of Arum Triphyllum are extracted from this plant, while the mother tincture is obtained by drying the underground parts of the plant. Arum Triphullum is mainly used to treat ENT disorders such as laryngitis.
General indications of Arum Triphyllum
Arum Triphyllum is indicated for the treatment of disorders of the ENT organs. Laryngitis (inflammation of the larynx) is the main condition that can be treated with this remedy: edematous laryngitis, stridulous laryngitis, orators' laryngitis. In short, all forms of laryngitis (infectious, bacterial or viral) can be treated with Arum Triphyllum. In general, laryngitis manifests itself as difficulty breathing, hoarse cough, broken voice or brpulating irritation of the larynx. Sometimes a fever accompanies these symptoms.
The following abnormalities can also be treated with Arum Triphyllum: burning and cracked tongue, salivation problem, painful and burning inflammation of the palate and mouth when drinking or eating. In addition, throat pain (constriction, burning pain, swelling and inflammation of the glands and throat) as well as certain ailments of the respiratory organs can be treated with this homeopathic remedy.
Modality of Remedy
AdministrationGenerally, the prescribed dose to treat ENT conditions is five granules of Arum Triphyllum 5CH every hour. These granules are administered orally. When the pain and symptoms begin to subside, it is advisable to space out the doses by a few hours and to stop the treatment when the pain disappears. For the treatment of dysphonia (with nasal obstruction and bitonic voice), the same dose of Arium Triphyllum 5CH should be taken, i.e. 5 granules every hour.
