Relieving hyperalgia with homeopathy

Hyperalgia is an alteration in the perception of pain following an injury or other nervous factors. Thanks to homeopathy, it is possible to access a multitude of remedies to treat any form of pain intolerance.

Hyperalgia is an alteration of nociception characterized by an excessive sensation of pain. This is referred to as a pain perception disorder or a decrease in the level of pain tolerance. Generally, hyperalgesia is the result of nerve sensitivity caused by a lesion, but could also be caused by thermal sensitivity. This hypersensitivity to pain can affect any part of the body through the diffusion of inflammatory or nociceptor factors. To diagnose hyperalgia, it is often necessary to go through a suprapreliminary pain test on an organ of perception such as the skin or on the painful lesion.

Forms of hyperalgia

Any form of hyperalgesia is manifested by increased pain, accentuated by stimulation or application to the nociceptor. This is the case when you are under the influence of dental neuralgia, gingivitis and some cases of otitis. The same is true for all the innervated areas of the body on which the hyperalgia is particularly sharp, even without any pressure or stimulation of the painful part, as in the case of sciatic hyperalgia. In some forms of hyperalgia, even body movement or stimulation of an proprioceptor (bones, muscles, ligaments, joints) could cause acute pain. But there is also hyperalgesia affecting organs such as the stomach, liver, kidneys and even the intestine. This is called abdominal colic or hyperalgia.

Treatment of Neuralgic Hyperalgia

The gold standard remedy for the management of almost all forms of hyperalgia is Chamomilla Vulgaris. It is particularly indicated for the treatment of all forms of neuralgia but is very effective in reducing localized hyperalgia. Thus, three daily doses of 5 granules of Chamomilla Vulgaris dosed from 9 to 15 CH can overcome dental hyperalgy, sciatica, intestinal colic, renal colic and hepatic colic. This remedy is also suitable for treating some cases of low back pain.

Teething in infants

In babies, the level of pain tolerance is low. This is why teething is always accompanied by various disorders, including gingival hyperalgia. In order to accompany the infant during this rather critical period, Chamomilla Vulgaris is one of the most appropriate remedies. It is therefore advisable to give the baby five grains of Chamomilla 9 CH three times a day until the hyperalgia, usually discernible by the cessation of crying, disappears.

When to see a doctor?

Sensitivity to pain differs from one individual to another. This is why it is important to consult a doctor as soon as abnormal pain appears. If pain persists, despite homeopathic treatment, it is also important to see your doctor and undergo medical examinations.
